Established in the Fall of 2010, the Fairwood Explorer Program became the first free alternative elementary school program available to students in the Sunnyvale School District.

Our philosophy focuses not only on high academic standards, but on the whole-child approach, offering project-based, hands-on learning made possible through parent participation.

This free magnet program is open to all students residing within the Sunnyvale School district. Small-group instruction, experience-based learning and a fully diverse student body make Fairwood Explorer an excellent option for families who want to invest in their children’s education.

Information Meetings

The K-5 part of the Fairwood Explorer Program will be holding information meetings on November 15th, 2012 and January 9th, 2013 at 6:30pm in the library at Fairwood Elementary School.

We will also have parents available to talk about the K-8 proposal.
